I've spent over 20 years succeeding in IT development, implementation, and systems integration. My core technical strength is as a Senior Technology Architect and Full-Stack Developer, specializing in modern cross-platform solutions using technologies like .NET Core 8/9, Fontend frameworks, and cloud solutions. On the leadership side, I have served as a Head of IT (executive-level leadership) and have over 8 years of empowering people management experience, focused on building high-performing teams.
2. AI is a hot topic. How have you specifically utilized Generative AI to deliver practical, cost-saving solutions?
I'm proud to have pioneered cost-effective conversational AI solutions. Instead of relying on massive, expensive models, I specialize in deploying resource-light Gen AI chat bots using local, small, royalty-free LLMs (like a 0.5B,1B-parameter Llama) combined with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). This approach makes advanced AI highly accessible and cost-effective, allowing deployment on standard hardware without high cloud resource fees.
3. Could you highlight some of the most impactful systems you've architected or modernized in your career?
Certainly. At Williams Sonoma, I designed and implemented a consolidated private cloud web platform for enterprise-wide reporting and architected a hybrid cloud/tablet Product Quality Assurance (PQA) solution that supported over 300 QA staff regionally. Separately, while at G3 Worldwide, I led the complete, ground-up modernization of a 10-year-old, mission-critical mail dispatch system for the SingPost Center.
4. How do you approach cloud infrastructure, and what is your strategy for cost-efficient application deployment?
I think cloud infrastructure has its place in 2025 and forward. I believe that depending on the rising cost of running data centers for AI solutions and how many businesses have approached their needs in hybrid ways will continue to be the main focus. My strategy revolves around efficiency and cost savings. I am skilled in managing Cloud Infrastructure (AWS/Azure/ Alternative Cloud Providers: VULTR/Terabix), and I specialize in Cost-Effective Solution Development. I deploy Web and Server Side solutions using ASP.Net Core and .NET Core 8/9, open-source solutions, linux servers, or cloud solutions; always focusing on optimizing resource consumption to ensure applications are both high-performing and resource-light.
